Two for Two

“It took two years to bring our son home through adopting from Korea. It was such a long and hard process emotionally that we weren’t sure if we could go through that again. A few months later, we started to settle into our new family life and decided we would start trying to get pregnant. But then we got a surprising call. A baby boy needed a home and although we weren’t supposed to be on the ‘list’, we fit the exact profile that his birth parents were hoping for. We were beyond scared but knew we had to say yes. This adoption took two days. If there is anything we learned through our processes, it is that God’s timing is perfect and human beings were made to be resilient creatures. I didn’t know if I would make it through motherhood on certain days. But looking back, I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”
